Lapidus
Region of Origin: Brazil
Description: Lapidus’ beautiful yellow hue is omnipresent throughout this majestic stone. Enticing, dark, leopard-like patterns are dispersed across the golden landscape and bring out the stone’s distinctive nature. Lapidus, or “stone” in Latin, has a modern connotation related to skillful expertise in working with valuable stone. It may also have some relationship with the Hebrew biblical surname meaning “torches” or “candles”.
